DreamTime Kennels is nestled at the base of the majestic Wasatch mountains in northern Utah.  We are a small, family-based set up and we consider our “poos” to be more family members than anything else.

 

My fascination with poodles began many years ago with the two poodles I grew up with, “Fifi” & “Honeycomb”…a black female and an apricot male.  I loved these dogs and was fascinated with the puppies that they produced, and I knew even then that someday I would raise poodle puppies of my own.  Having worked for many years as a groomer, and more recently as a veterinary technician I have had the chance to handle and work with many poodles, which not only helped to strengthen my love for the breed, but also built a great concern about dogs who were being carelessly bred and offered to the public even though they barely resembled a poodle in confirmation and came with multiple serious health concerns.  I also encountered many dogs coming from high-volume breeders, these dogs were too often mentally unstable and fearful from in-breeding and a lack of early socialization.  As a result of experiences such as these, my goal as a breeder is to produce healthy poodle pups who have been bred as close as possible to the AKC standard of confirmation, who are well adjusted, well socialized, pre–loved and shamelessly spoiled! 

 

I breed for quality, not quantity.  I will always keep my numbers small so that each dog and each puppy will have plenty of personal time and attention.  I research pedigrees and spend a great deal of time searching for just the right dogs to add to my “poo” family. My females are bred only after being evaluated as healthy enough to handle  pregnancy and rearing a litter of rambunctious pups.  So I may not always have little ones available, but keep checking back often because our next litter just may have that once-in-a-lifetime companion you have been searching for!
